Berry Springs Park And Preserve - 1801 Cr 152 Georgetown, TX 78626

Berry Springs Park & Preserve is 300 acres of beautiful Texas countryside just outside Georgetown. Hike down one of the many winding trails under the canopy of historic pecan groves, or fish off the pier by the lake. Perhaps camping is what you’re in the mood for? Choose from two different campsites and enjoy some smores fireside at the campfire ring. Let the kids loose on the playground while you enjoy bird watching, or take them over to pet the donkeys. Whatever you are looking for in a park, Berry Springs has it.

Lakewood Park - 2040 Artesian Springs Crossing Leander, TX 78641

Lakewood Park is a fabulous place to visit. Let the kids run around the playground and splash pad or try their luck at the skate park. You can also enjoy fishing, volleyball or basketball. They even offer kayak and paddleboard rentals! It’s also a pet-friendly park with a dog park for your pup to enjoy. 

Park amenities: large pavilion with restroom facilities, splash pad, playground, dog park, fishing pier, lakeside pavilions, vehicle parking areas, trails, skate park, basketball and volleyball courts, and kayak rentals.

San Gabriel Park - Lower Park Rd Georgetown, TX 78626

San Gabriel Park holds a special place in my heart. I’ve been going and enjoying the riverside park since I was a child, and I now enjoy taking my kids. You can fish, walk or bike one of the many trails or hang out under one of the many pavilions or bench seating under the trees. There are BBQs for grilling with family and friends and a few different playgrounds for the kiddos to burn their energy. You can also play a round of disc golf, volleyball, or basketball or skate at the skate park!

Old Settlers Park - 3300 E Palm Valley Blvd Round Rock, TX 78665

Old settlers Park in Round Rock is always a crowd-pleaser. With its many sports fields, multiple playgrounds, picnic areas, trails, and a pond, it’s a clear winner for everyone. Old Settlers is also the primary hub for many of Round Rock’s special events, such as the 4th of July event, Frontier Days. This event typically features activities like pig races, cowboy singalongs, and a pepper eating contest. It’s genuinely a community-loved space that is perfect for any family outing.

Fritz Park - 100 Park St Hutto, TX 78634

Home to the Parks and Recreation office, Holstrom Field, and the Old Hippo Stadium, Fritz Park is conveniently in central Hutto. Fritz Park features a pavilion in the middle of the field, serving as a middle point for you and your family to enjoy their picnic tables, grill, and lighting (if at night). It’s no surprise that Fritz Park won iHutto’s Best Park in Hutto award in 2022.

Park amenities: 33 Acres of green space, Basketball Court, Horseshoe Pits, Pavilion, Reflection Pond, Sand Volleyball Courts, Walking Trails

Bohls Park - 200 Immanuel Rd Pflugerville, TX 78691

Bohls park is a wondrous escape into the wilderness of Pflugerville. Tucked away in the southeast of Pflugerville, this park features a looping trail that winds through the trees, offering a great escape and a connected path leading to Gilleland Creek Trail. The park also features exercise and stretching stations to break up your walk with some added fun aerobic challenges. You can also enjoy the sports fields, Skate Spot, or playground with the family. 

Park amenities: quarter-mile loop trail with exercise/stretching stations, the Skate Spot, next to the Pflugerville Recreation Center and has access to Gilleland Creek Trail, outdoor exercise stations, playground, sports field, restrooms
